The Faculty of Arts and Science at Nipissing University invites applications from qualified instructors to teach Philosophy courses during the Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD in Philosophy or closely related field is preferred
  • Minimum MA degree in Mathematics or closely related field required
  • Relevant post-secondary teaching experience

Duties:

  • Responsible for all instruction and evaluation for the portion of the course to which they are assigned
  • Will be available to meet with students outside of the official classroom time
  • Complete mandatory training requirements, review and follow Nipissing University's policies and procedures

We are hiring for multiple courses, including:

Fall 2025
(September 2, 2025, to December 1, 2025)

  • PHIL-2506 – Thinking Clearly (Distance)
  • PHIL-2406 – Ancient Philosophy (North Bay)

Winter 2025
(January 5, 2026, to April 7, 2026)

  • PHIL-3476 – Existentialism I (Distance)
